10am

Sunkissed Windsor

Large crowds gather, some from days earlier and overnight, and Windsor wakes up to 20° C weather and beautiful blue skies. An estimated 120,000+ people have lined the streets and the Long Walk up to Windsor Castle.

11:30am

First glimpse of the bride

Having spent the night together there, Meghan and her mother Doria Ragland beam as they depart Cliveden House, in a chauffeur driven vintage Rolls-Royce Phantom IV. Through the window we catch a glimpse of the bride in her dress, veil and tiara. It’s white with a bateau neckline and long sleeves. Her hair is up and she looks to be wearing her Cartier earrings.

The groom arrives

Prince Harry and his brother and best man Prince William arrive at Windsor Castle, making their way toward St George’s Chapel’s West Door. Both princes are wearing the uniforms of the Blues and Royals. Harry is wearing his Pilots’ Wings and a medal honoring his service as an Apache helicopter pilot. Happy side note: Harry didn’t shave!

Meghan arrives at St George's Chapel

Meghan arrives to St George’s Chapel with her page boys, close friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney’s 7-year-old twin sons, John and Brian. We get our first full view of Meghan’s dress. We find out that it is custom Givenchy Haute Couture and was designed by British designer Clare Waight Keller, the first female artistic director at the French fashion house, who worked closely with Meghan on the design. The dress is “inspired by all 12 signs of the Zodiac, the Zodiac Signs collection features artisanally carved rings and earrings to convey the wearer’s character,” the official Givenchy page tweeted.

She is joined by her bridesmaids/flower girls, including Princess Charlotte, 3, and Jessica Mulroney’s youngest child, Ivy, 4. Meghan begins the walk down the aisle, meeting Prince Charles halfway, who gives her away to Harry at the altar.

Evening Reception

Meghan and Harry depart Windsor Castle for their evening reception at Frogmore House, in a electric 1968 silver blue Jaguar E-type with the number plate E190518 (the wedding date). The couple looked like they were filming the latest Bond film, Harry dapper in a tuxedo and Meghan having changed into her second dress – a custom lily-white Stella McCartney halter neck silk crepe gown, and custom shoes from Aquazurra. She also wore a emerald-cut aquamarine ring, a gift from Harry, that once belonged to Princess Diana.
