Just a few days after announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, Meghan delighted Edinburgh based luxury label Strathberry when she wore their The Strathberry Tri Colour Midi Tote Burgundy/Navy/Vanilla for her very first official engagement as a royal fiancee in Nottingham on December 1, 2017.
Strathberry bags are defined by their clean lines and signature metal bar closure, all handcrafted in the mountain regions of Spain by the finest, most skilled artisans, using only the highest quality materials. They are fairly new to the world of bag making, founded just a few years ago in 2013, but have already been put on the map in a big way thanks to the now Duchess of Sussex – and of course their exceptionally beautiful products. Today, they share with us this video below of the delicate process of making the famous tote, which has now been dubbed “The Meghan Markle Bag,” revealing that it can take up to 20 hours to make and is only produced in limited quantities.
A few months later while on an official visit to Strahberry’s previously mentioned hometown of Edinburgh, Meghan appropriately chose another bag by the company, this time the Strathberry East/West Mini in Bottle Green.
Update: The Meghan Markle effect is real! Following this post one of our lovely readers, Irene Kostko, shared with us a picture of her very own Midi Tote that she ordered (and waited a whole 4 months for) after being inspired by Meghan, saying “It’s gorgeous.”
