Meghan Markle walked the carpet in a Diane von Furstenberg Zarita lace dress at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, CA on February 15, 2012, for the USA And The Moth’s Storytelling Tour: A More Perfect Union: Stories Of Prejudice And Power event. She paired the navy dress with nude Christian Louboutin Bianca Patent Leather Platform Pumps.
Suits co-stars Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres (not pictured) were also in attendance.
UPDATE: Fast forward to 2014 and none other than Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge – formerly Kate Middleton and possibly Meghan‘s new sister-in-law – wore the black, floor-length version of the Zarita dress to the Royal Variety Performance in London, England. See her look here.
UPDATE 2: In an interview published in Glamour magazine in May 2017, Meghan spoke of her outfit choice for this event, naming it a “fashion cringe moment.”
“I was going to this event and there was this DVF lace dress with a zipper up the back, and it was so fitted, and had tea length sleeves. Even buying a DVF dress was a big deal, and I bought one in navy and black. It was too tight, and too short, and my hair was too polished, and everything about it was trying too hard.”
